ILOILO City – A motorcycle hit a roadside mahogany tree in Barangay Gines, Lambunao, Iloilo. The driver died while the back rider was injured.
The driver was 46-year-old Ronie Pites of Barangay Lunoy, Calinog town. He was declared “dead on arrival” at the Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial Hospital in Lambunao.
The back rider, Sharvie Lasconia of Barangay Gines, Lambunao, sustained minor injuries.
The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 25.
According to the police, Pites lost control of the motorcycle./PN
