THE COURT case by Elon Musk concerning Open AI wasn’t resolved, for or against, but rather dropped because the case was filed too late.
The direction of artificial intelligence and how it will be used is too important to be left to a legal technicality. The potential for disaster, perhaps unrealistic, has provided hours of action films, mostly with Arnie Schwarzenegger in them.
Of course, this could all be the first steps in AI taking over with just a simple calendar change by removing a reminder and then some software lines are adjusted and that’s it for humans.
People should, however, remember that if it’s a choice between a conspiracy and a stuff up, it’s almost certainly a stuff up especially if it involves computers or politicians.

Friends and foes
We see United States President Donald Trump being greeted by President Xi Jinping in China a few days ago. There were lots of smiling, military precision and many words of praise from Trump.
There were probably similar speeches from Xi but they weren’t shown on the TV I watched.
There seemed to be a powerful, strong, sane leader who knew where his country was heading and standing beside him was Donald Trump. There have been concerns about the leadership of Xi but nothing like that which Trump faces.
If Trump could take some guidance from Xi, the US might be a better country although if he follows all of what Xi does, it will be a story of horror and pain for all.
All countries need strong but honest leadership and perhaps they should look elsewhere than China.

Never-ending story
It seems the American “war” on Iran will be never ending, given President Trump’s “didn’t even finish reading” Iran’s latest peace suggestion.
Surely you need to read the whole list of negotiating points to see what is possible and what you can agree on to get them off the table.
However, if the war is over, the spotlight will swing back to the Epstein files once the UFOs have left, the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool is bright blue, and the ballroom is open. But these distractions will be replaced by other distractions.
What everyone needs is positive leadership promoting peace and keeping their citizens safe and well fed. Do you and your country have this?

Am I a content creator?
I keep hearing about content creators who seem to get their fame and fortune from putting materials online.
Like most people I have opinions about many topics so I started writing “letters to the editor”. I then set up a blog (tinyurl.com/LTTE-Writer) detailing my obsession and the rationale for some selected letters. Does this make me a content creator?
With 27 dedicated followers, I have not yet made an attempt to monetize my site and rake in the promised fortunes. I don’t like all the advertisements online so that would make it more difficult if I don’t allow them.
I also noticed as a fat, bald, 67-year-old man that few of these content providers match that description so I might be in a niche marketplace.
Awaiting the fortune and fame that will now flow my way!/PN
