A farmer from Banga, Aklan, recently claimed a multi-million peso jackpot after nearly thirty years of playing the national lottery. The lone winner successfully hit the winning combination of 25-29-17-41-23-13 in the Lotto 6/42 draw held on March 19, 2026, securing a total prize of ₱18,861,406.90.
The bettor, whose winning ticket was purchased at a local outlet in his hometown, traveled to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) main headquarters to collect his winnings on April 21. The farmer disclosed that he had to borrow funds to cover his transportation expenses.
The winner said he plans to use his winnings to acquire additional farmland, secure his children’s education, and invest in a house and lot for his family.
Meanwhile, the PCSO reminds all lotto winners to sign the back of their winning ticket and present two valid government-issued identification cards when claiming prizes at the PCSO Main Office. Prizes exceeding ₱10,000 are subject to a 20% tax pursuant to the TRAIN Law.
Under Republic Act No. 1169, jackpot prizes must be claimed within one (1) year from the draw date. Otherwise, unclaimed prizes shall be forfeited in favor of the PCSO Charity Fund, which supports various health and welfare programs nationwide.
The Lotto 6/42 draw is conducted every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 9:00 PM, and is broadcast live on IBC-13, D8TV, and via the PCSO Games Online Hub Facebook page.
