AKLAN – The Aklan Police Provincial Office has a new leader with the appointment of Colonel Arnel Ramos as its provincial director.

The formal turnover of command ceremony took place on Monday, November 25, at Camp Martin Teofilo Delgado in Iloilo City.

Ramos replaced Colonel Victorino Romanillos Jr., who now assumes the position of commander of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 6.

Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) director Brigadier General Jack Wanky emphasized that the relief order is part of the police’s normal rotational movement, particularly for officials who have served two years or more in their posts.

“It becomes challenging to implement a relief order during the election period without proper clearance from the Commission on Elections (Comelec),” Wanky said.

Romanillos had nearly completed his two-year term as Aklan’s police director. Given the proximity to the election period, Wanky explained that implementing the relief order now ensures compliance with standard procedures./PN
