ILOILO City – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Aklan Provincial Office has mounted its 16th Aklan Product Showcase staged at the lower ground event center in SM City, Mandurriao, Iloilo City from Aug. 27 to Sept. 2, 2018.
This year’s event is anchored on the theme “Bagong Buhay Boracay” which highlights products of MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises) affected by the Boracay rehabilitation. An additional feature during the product showcase is the launching of “One Aklan,” an online marketing platform for Aklan products.
There are 38 enterprises that will offer distinct designs conveying Aklanons’ creativity and passion such as festive season embellishments, natural dyed fabrics, trendy fashion accessories and souvenir items, and home and office furnishings as well as the famous meat and bakery products available only in the province.
An opening program was held on Aug. 27 at 2:00 p.m., graced by top officials of the Province of Aklan, DTI oficers, and members of the Provincial Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council (PMSMEDC).
The Aklan Product Showcase is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
This annual marketing event is organized by the DTI – Aklan with the Hugod Aklanon Producers Association, Inc., and the Provincial Government of Aklan in partnership with the Aklan PMSMEDC.
