AKLAN – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Aklan has implemented a Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) for its employees in line with Memorandum Circular No. 114, aimed at supporting government efforts to conserve energy and ensure the efficient use of resources.
Under the new arrangement, employees will report on-site from Monday to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., while a work-from-home setup will be observed every Friday. The policy took effect immediately and will remain in place until further notice.
Officials said the measure seeks to maintain uninterrupted public service while contributing to broader government initiatives promoting energy efficiency.
Despite the work-from-home setup on Fridays, the SP assured the public that services will continue to be delivered without disruption.
However, stakeholders are advised to schedule transactions, meetings, and consultations from Monday to Thursday during regular office hours to ensure smooth processing of requests.
Meanwhile, emergency response, medical, and security services of the Provincial Government of Aklan will remain fully operational and will continue to follow their regular work schedules.
Local officials emphasized that the flexible work arrangement is part of ongoing efforts to modernize government operations while ensuring that public service remains accessible and efficient for residents of Aklan./PN
