ILOILO City – A woman charged with theft in Kalibo, Aklan was arrested in Caloocan City, Metro Manila.
The 34-year-old Jennie Capero had been hiding in Caloocan City for three years, police said.
In 2013, Judge Jemena Abellar-Arbis of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 6 here issued an arrest warrant against Capero. Police said the suspect disappeared from the after learning she was being hunted.
Recently, the Kalibo police received information that Capero was hiding in Caloocan City.
Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and Aklan Police Provincial Police Office arrested the suspect around 8 a.m. on Oct. 28 on Esguerra Street, Barangay 75, Caloocan City.
Capero was brought back to Kalibo and was detained at the municipal jail./PN
