ANTIQUE — Gov. Paolo Javier led the distribution of financial assistance to families affected by Typhoon “Crising,” which struck the country in July 2025, as the Provincial Government of Antique continues its recovery and relief efforts across the province.
The assistance, facilitated through the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development (OPSWDO), benefited 405 residents from various municipalities in Antique. Based on the latest monitoring report, 338 beneficiaries have already received aid, while 67 are still scheduled to be served.
A total of P1,805,000 has been released to help affected families rebuild damaged homes and restore livelihoods following the typhoon’s onslaught.
Among the municipalities, Sebaste recorded the highest number of beneficiaries with 118, followed by San Jose with 99. Distribution in the municipalities of Hamtic, Patnongon, and Libertad has already been completed.
Gov. Javier assured residents on Tuesday that the provincial government remains committed to providing inclusive and timely assistance to all affected families.
“Our priority is to ensure that no affected family is left behind as we rebuild and recover from the effects of Typhoon ‘Crising,’” Javier said.
One of the beneficiaries, Annabel Suarez of Barangay Durog, San Jose, shared the hardships her family endured during the typhoon, noting the destruction of their home and the loss of basic shelter materials.
