ANTIQUE — The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Antique has launched an online portal that allows the public to access ordinances and resolutions passed beginning in 2025, in a move aimed at promoting transparency and improving public access to government documents.
The SP Antique – Official Ordinances and Resolutions Portal is accessible through Antique’s official website (www.antique.gov.ph) under the “Legislative” tab and the “Ordinances and Resolutions” section.
The portal serves as a digital archive of provincial legislative documents and is intended to provide residents, researchers, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders with convenient access to official records.
Through the portal, users may request signed copies of ordinances and resolutions. Requested documents may be picked up at the Legislative Building or sent via email.
The Office of the Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan said requested documents will be released within one to two working days, subject to a fee of P30 per page payable at the Office of the Provincial Treasurer.
Local government units requesting documents are exempt from the payment.
The portal also includes a tracking feature that allows users to monitor the status of their requests. This is expected to benefit civil society organizations and non-government organizations seeking accreditation from the provincial board.
Provincial officials said the portal remains in its initial stages of development, and some documents may not yet be available. Older ordinances and resolutions are being gradually uploaded to expand public access.
The initiative is in line with the Local Government Code of 1991, which requires approved ordinances and resolutions to be posted in at least three conspicuous places for public information.
Printed copies of approved measures will continue to be posted on bulletin boards at the Legislative Building and the New Capitol Building./PN
