
ILOILO City – A 37-year-old man wanted for multiple counts of child abuse was captured during a manhunt operation in Barangay Poblacion, San Joaquin, Iloilo, on March 10.
The suspect, identified by the alias “Reyman,” 37, ranked No. 4 most wanted person at the provincial level under the Antique Police Provincial Office and No. 1 most wanted at the municipal level under Caluya Municipal Police Station (MPS).
He was arrested around 8:28 p.m. under a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 13 in Culasi, Antique on January 23, 2026, for eight counts of acts of lasciviousness in violation of Section 5(b), Article III of Republic Act 7610.
The operation was led by the Caluya MPS with support from the San Joaquin MPS.
“This arrest reflects our unwavering commitment to protect children and ensure that those who exploit the vulnerable are held accountable. We will continue to intensify manhunt operations to deliver justice and maintain safe communities across Western Visayas,” said Brigadier General Josefino D. Ligan, director of the Police Regional Office 6.
The suspect was temporarily detained at the San Joaquin MPS for proper disposition and turnover to the issuing court./PN
