TODAY Victoria, Australia broke its temperature record with 48.9°C (120°F), and a moderately uncomfortable day. I see photos of snow in New York and so many other places. The Greenland Ice Sheet is shrinking and United States President Donald Trump might need a submarine to visit it although he might find them not quite as spacious as Air Force One.
A lot of the world is also under water or mud. It doesn’t look good overall and don’t think your country has escaped the consequences of weather extremes, there is still plenty of time for other disasters.
Maybe we should concentrate on protecting the environment rather than destroying it. The weather extremes are worrying but they could easily become climate problems, reoccurring every year.
Stay out of the sunvon extreme heat days, stay indoors on the cold days and get used to them happening far more often.

Not such a funny group
The Board of Peace for Gaza is an interesting group of countries and individuals. Countries that have accepted so far are Albania, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Bulgaria, Egypt, Hungary (Thanks Wikipedia).
Maybe they are processing applications basically in alphabetical order. Canada was invited but then its invitation was withdrawn and most of Europe has said no thanks as they have the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Russia and China were invited, but why?
The executive is even more concerning with mainly Trump sycophants and his son-in-law. Both Trump family members have spent their time as real estate people and have only come to politics recently.
Perhaps the best advice to follow is that of Groucho Marx: “I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.”
There is more comedy to come, mostly parody and a lot of memes.

Bored of the Board
What is Trump’s “Board of Peace” to be? Is it a new United Nations, an extended European Union or some version of NATO for the Middle East? These are all well-established, generally do great work, and are credible. Will countries that don’t join it recognize its authority?
Trump’s “Board of Peace” seems like it will be run by an individual, Donald Trump, ruling over the countries that decide to join and rather than final agreements by the group he will have the right of veto. The approach of three years free then pay an expensive fee sounds like a typical gym or streaming service where you get free access for a while and then the costs appear.
The three-year introductory membership might align with his remaining three years as the US President, unless he somehow becomes the permanent President, as some are already suggesting he wants to be.
Will there be a new world order, those that follow and obey Donald Trump and all of the other who see the scam for what it is? Will your country get caught up with this, speak out to stop your leaders losing the plot.

A great example?
After 30 years teaching I have seen so many students do a dummy-spit but nothing will match President Trump’s recent outburst, in a quiet voice, “I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of peace” as a result of not getting his special prize, a Nobel Peace Prize. That statement alone guarantees he will never get one.
Other childish displays include pushing around smaller people, having odd friends, not obeying the rules, being greedy, and insulting others. All very childish.
There are many that lead us, usually positively, with the intention of making our lives better and some do fail but at least they try. Look to you own leaders and be scared for what could go wrong if they follow this example./PN
