ILOILO City – A 20-year-old man was shot while walking on Bonifacio Street, Arevalo district before dawn yesterday.

Resident Gerald Borja was taken to the West Visayas State University Medical Center for the treatment of his gunshot wound on the right leg.

Police identified the suspected shooter as the 20-year-old Peter Paul Parreño of Barangay Cagbang, Oton, Iloilo.

Officers launched a manhunt to catch the suspect, a police report showed.

The incident happened at around 1:20 a.m. The caliber of the firearm used remains unknown as of this writing./PN
