ILOILO City – The Army Recruitment Mobile Team of the Army Recruitment Office Visayas will conduct pre-entry examinations to qualified applicants for the officer preparatory, officer candidate and candidate soldier courses.
The exams will be held at West Visayas State University main campus in La Paz district starting today until Feb. 1.
One must have a baccalaureate degree to apply for the officer candidate course.
Applicants must be 21 to 29 years old, single and never been married upon admission, and physically and mentally fit.
The minimum height requirement for both male and female applicants is 5 feet (152.4 centimeters). The maximum is 6 feet and 4 inches (193.04 centimeters).
Enlisted personnel can apply for the course even without completing his/her one term of service.
The officer preparatory course exam, on the other hand, is open to civilians aged 21 to 23 years old and enlisted personnel aged 21 to 31 years old.
Applicants must be graduates of the Probationary Officer Training Corps with a reserve rank of 2nd lieutenant, baccalaureate degree holders, and physically and mentally fit.
The minimum and maximum height requirements for both male and female applicants are also 5 feet (152.4 centimeters) and 6 feet and 4 inches (193.04 centimeters), respectively.
Enlisted personnel can apply for the officer preparatory course even without finishing his/her one term of service.
Meanwhile, the exam for the candidate soldier course is open to 18- to 26-years olds.
They must have completed taking 72 units in college. If the applicant is only a high school graduate, he/she must have “a certified skill needed in the military service.”
Applicants for this course must be physically and mentally fit, unmarried and without a child or children, and must have no pending case in any court.
The minimum height requirement for both male and female is 5 feet (152.4 centimeters).
Applicants in all courses must be Filipinos. They must also bring requirements for registration during the exams: National Statistics Office of the Philippines birth certificate, college transcript of records and diploma, high school diploma with Form 137-A (for high school graduates only), a government-issued ID, and a 2×2 picture.
