ASIALINK won for the second straight time in the Iloilo Basketball Club Association (IBCA) Invitational League after an 81-60 domination over Pitbull City Proper Selection at the gym on Tuesday night in Barangay Zamora, Iloilo City.
Led by Cedie Eraga, Stefano Refugio, Jake Fuertes, Arfie Orbita, and Kent Quitayen, Asialink displayed its offensive firepower from start to finish.
UK Sports Basketball Club recovered from opening day defeat with a 62-58 win over UK Sports Juniors while Legaspi Ballers notched its first win by beating Crossworld 72-56.
At the end of Tuesday’s games, Asialink stayed on top with 2-0 followed by MBC Snipers (1-0), Legaspi Ballers (1-1), UK Sports Basketball Club (1-1), UK Sports Juniors (1-1), Pitbull City Proper Selection (0-1), Crossworld (0-2), and JRH Eagles (X-X).
Action resumes today with JRH Eagles making its debut against Pitbull City Proper, MBC Snipers facing Legaspi Ballers, and Asialink taking on Crossworld.
The IBCA Invitational League champion will earn a slot in the Champions Cup of the Panay Sports Association, which was scheduled tentatively for March./PN
