ILOILO – An impoverished Ati found a plastic envelope containing P23,000 in cash.
But instead of keeping it for himself, Roger Inosendo, a member of an Ati community in Barangay Nagpana, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, turned it over to the police.
A corn farmer, Inosendo found the envelope near the Iloilo Provincial Capitol on New Year’s Eve. The following day, Jan. 1, 2023, he turned it over to the Jaro Police Station.
Aside from the cash, the plastic envelope also contained a check, a debit card and important documents.
