BACOLOD City – Allan Gibraltar Malone ended up behind bars in light of attempted rape and child sexual abuse charges filed against him.
Police arrested the 51-year-old on corner Cabahug Street-Gustilo Boulevard, Barangay Zone 1, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Malone was charged with attempted rape, said Chief Inspector Rocky Desear, officer-in-charge of the Cadiz City police station.
Another case – for violation of Section 5 (b) of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act – was lodged against him, too.
Officers served the resident of Barangay Daga, Cadiz City a warrant of arrest at around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday.
Executive Judge Gwendolyn Jimenea of the Regional Trial Court Branch 60 (Cadiz City) issued the warrant on Aug. 30.
Malone was detained at the Cadiz City police station.
The court set the bail bonds at P120,000 for the attempted rape charge and P180,000 for the child sexual abuse charge./PN
