BACOLOD City – A fire that struck a residential property in Purok Mahimaya-on, Barangay Bata on Saturday night, July 25, left an estimated P4.5 million in property damage, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.
According to the BFP-Bacolod, the blaze partially destroyed a two-storey house owned by Antonio D. Valderrama, with an estimated floor area of 300 square meters.
The house was occupied by a family of four.
The fire was reported at 8:41 p.m., prompting the immediate response of firefighters. It was declared under control at 9:04 p.m. and was fully extinguished at 9:16 p.m.
No injuries or fatalities were reported.
The BFP estimated the damage to the residential structure at P4.5 million.
Investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire as the investigation continues.
