Bacolod records anew zero COVID-19 case

BACOLOD City- Due to the continuing decrease of coronavirus disease-2019(COVID-19) cases logged daily in this city for almost several weeks,  once again the city recorded anew zero COVID-19 cases in a single day, based on the real-time data of the Emergency Operations Center(EOC) here dated March 12.

 Mayor Evelio Leonardia said it was the second time this year that Bacolod registered zero cases for the day.

The first was registered on Feb.21, the mayor added.

But, it was on March 2021 that the city recorded the first zero COVID-19 case since the onset of the pandemic, based on the Department of Health (DOH) -Region 6 COVID-19 daily case bulletin.

Leonardia thanked the Bacolodnons for their continued compliance to minimum health protocols despite the de-escalation of the city under Alert Level 1 (AL1) with 38 other cities and provinces in the country out of more than 2,000 local government units.

AL1 is the lowest COVID alert classification established by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).

The mayor reiterated his call to “live with the virus and adjust to it accordingly and cautiously” as AL1 ushers in the new normal.

Based on the DOH-6 daily case bulletin showed that in March, this city has one COVID-19 case, with six recoveries and 122 active cases./PN
