Andrian Celada played the hero’s role for Bacolod on Friday night. He scored five of the team’s last six points, including the game-clinching layup, when they turned a 15-17 deficit to a 21-19 win.
For winning the championship, the 3×3 basketball newcomers took home the top prize of P100,000.
Celada finished the match with seven points while Negrense Mark Yee also had the same output. Mark dela Cruz and Louie Medalla had four and three markers, respectively. “Last conference hindi ko naranasan ito. Dati kami ‘yung nakatingala pero ngayon isa na kami sa tinitingala. Iba pala ang pakiramdam,” said Celada, who played for the Tycoon QC Ballers last conference.
Rodel Vaygan tallied eight points while Joshua Saret chipped in six markers in Tamaraws’ defeat.
On their way to the championship round, Fyr Fyter Bacolod pulled off a stunning 21-17 victory over the favorites Basilan, while the Tamaraws edged Equalivet Pateros, 21-15, in the other semis match./PN
