BACOLOD City – The city government will establish five clustered satellite offices of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) to strengthen disaster preparedness and emergency response across the city.
Edward Ramirez, chief operations officer of the CDRRMO, said the satellite offices will be located in barangays Mandalagan, Vista Alegre, Estefania, Banago, and Singcang-Airport.
A groundbreaking ceremony for one satellite office is scheduled on June 9, in partnership with Rockwell Land Corporation. The complex will rise along Buri Road in Barangay Mandalagan.
Ramirez said Rockwell Land donated a 1,986-square-meter parcel of land within its development area, where the city will also construct the new Police Station 3 and a city fire sub-station.
“This project will significantly enhance Bacolod’s emergency response capabilities and overall disaster preparedness,” Ramirez said. “It also reflects the strong partnership between Rockwell Land and the city government in improving public safety infrastructure.”
