The Sangguniang Panlungsod has approved a resolution enjoining 61 villages to actively participate on the forthcoming Barangay Assembly Day in Bacolod City.
Councilor Sonya Verdeflor, author of the resolution, said all village constituents are encouraged to be part of the assembly this March with the theme ‘Barangay Natin, Sama-Sama Natin Paunlarin.’
The Department of Interior and Local Government set the assembly pursuant to President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s proclamation No. 599 signed on October 9, 2019.
The Barangay Assembly Day for the 1st semester of 2019 shall be conducted on Saturdays or Sundays pursuant to the president’s proclamation No. 599.
Stipulated on the proclamation also requires all villages to hold respective assemblies for each semester on any of the days./PN
