BACOLOD City – Bacolodnon basketball players showcased their wares during the 1st Phenom Elite 3×3 Basketball tournament held recently at the Phenom Elite Training Center here.
Team BLAK of Kyan Andrada, Bejee de Ocampo, Austin Laureño and Lance Benitez emerged as champions in the 18-and-under category after defeating after defeating TJ7 Ballclub in the finals,12-8.
Jaguars Team of July Laniohan, Marco Ugdiman, Rowel Negro and Joshua Jumuad, meanwhile, captured the 16-and-under crown after beating MF Computer Solutions in the finals, 17-15.
Fire Fyter Team of Julio Lorenzo Teruel, Berne Jereza, Giovanni Semillano and GM Gonzales, on the other hand, bagged the 14-and-under championship with a 12-8 victory over TJ7 Ballclub.
St. John’s Institute-Bacolod’s Anton Rojas, Tristan Valencia, Santino Loretizo and Miggy Sy, for their part, ruled the 12-and-under category with a 9-8 thriller over University of St. La Salle.
The champion squads in the one day event, which was participated by 32 teams in four divisions, took home P15,000, the runner-up teams bagged P10,000, while the second runner-ups had P8,000./PN
