Bacolod’s 14th COVID-19 case has no travel history

BACOLOD City – Health authorities has recorded one new confirmed case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in this capital city, bringing the total number to 14.

Based on the Department of Health (DOH) Region 6’s data, the latest patient was a 36-year-old woman from Barangay Taculing.

DOH 6’s latest data also bared the patient has no travel history. She was a former Department of Education frontliner, but currently works as an importer/exporter of essential goods.

She has no symptoms and no pre-existing health conditions. 

Her Real Time-Polymerase Chain Reaction test was done on May, 22 and the result was released on Friday last week.

The City Health Office (CHO) said that investigation and contact tracing is now underway.

As of Friday, Bacolod had a total of 14 confirmed COVID-19 cases. Of the number, seven already recovered, three died and four still considered as active cases./PN
