MANILA – Bacolodnon boxer Rolando Servania kept his unbeaten record after a unanimous decision win over veteran Pablito Cañada on Sunday at the TV5 Studio in Novaliches, Quezon City.

It was the third consecutive victory of the Bacolod City, Negros Occidental native Servania, brother of veteran boxer Genesis Servania, since returning from four-year boxing hiatus.

Rolando was aggressive to start the bout as he pummeled Cañada will multiple combinations early on. The Bacolodnon nearly floored his opponent midway in the match after trapping his foe on the corner.

Rolando continued to land some good combinations and a huge hook on Cañada. The latter made its last push in the eighth and final round but was not enough to turn the result around.

With the victory, Servania improved his boxing record to 9-0-0 with three victories coming by way of knockout. Cañada, meanwhile, saw his record dropped to 6-17-4 with one knockout win.

Meanwhile, Bacolod City native Lory Abelada is still in search of his first professional boxing victory after three bouts following his stoppage defeat at the hands of Mark Henry Escribar./PN
