ILOILO City – A 27-year-old man from Barangay Poblacion, Badiangan, Iloilo was hacked on the head, a police report showed.
Jhassa Paul Villariza was taken to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district.
Police have identified a suspect – 43-year-old Freddie Bolante Sr.
It was not immediately clear what the motive was.
Villariza was having an argument with his sister-in-law on Saturday when Bolante arrived and attacked him, the police report stated.
The victim sustained a shallow hack wound and was released from the hospital soon after he was treated.
Police arrested Bolante and hauled him to the Badiangan police station custodial facility. (Panay Balita/PN)
