BACOLOD City – A man was stabbed to death in Barangay Abuanan, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
The 36-year-old resident Eddie Mariano died of stab wounds on the body, a police report showed.
The 25-year-old resident Rommel Manalo was tagged as the suspect, it added.
According to police investigators, Mariano, Manalo and two others were having a drinking session when a heated argument ensued between them around 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 6.
This prompted Manalo to stab Mariano using an 11-inch knife, police said.
Mariano’s live-in partner, who was not identified in the report, sustained a minor injury on the shoulder, the police added.
Mariano was brought to the Bago City Hospital where he was declared “dead on arrival.”
