ILOILO City – A guest relations officer of a videoke bar was found dead in a ditch in Barangay Igbarawan, Patnongon, Antique yesterday.
The 31-year-old Shella Mae Magluyan was a resident of La Paz, Iloilo City. She had fatal head injuries, police said.
Village residents found Magluyan’s body around 6:25 a.m. some 60 meters away from the bar where she worked.
According to Police Officer 2 Brix Magbanua of Patnongon, robbery could not have been the motive in Magluyan’s killing.
Her personal belongings were not stolen, not even her P1,725 cash, said Magbanua.
A hard object such as a big stone may have been used to hit Magluyan’s head, he added.
“We’re investigating if the killing was work-related,” said Magbanua.
Magluyan was last seen alive around 1 a.m. yesterday leaving the bar after talking to an unidentified man, initial investigation showed./PN
