BACOLOD City – The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Bacolod City has announced a new and more convenient method for clients to pay their fire safety certificate fees through online banking.
Under the leadership of Fire Superintendent Jenny Mae Masip, City Fire Marshal, the BFP has introduced the use of the BDO mobile app for paying Fire Code Fees via the Fire Safety Inspection System (FSIS).
To guide clients, the BFP has posted a step-by-step process on how to use the BDO app for payments on its official Facebook page, BFP R6 Bacolod FS.
This initiative is in line with the directive from BFP Region 6 and the BFP-Negros Occidental, aiming to make transactions faster, more efficient, and accessible to the public.
It was noted that a fire safety certificate from the BFP is a requirement when securing a Mayor’s Permit, as well as when applying for permits from the Office of the Building Official.
Outgoing Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez continues to advocate for the digitalization of government processes, particularly in offices involved in the Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS), to enhance efficiency and reduce effort for applicants during new and renewal permit transactions./PN
