MANILA – The bicameral conference committee has approved the report on the proposed P4.1-trillion national budget for 2020.
The members of the joint panel signed and adopted the report during a meeting held at the Manila Polo Club in Makati City on Wednesday.
During the meeting, House appropriations committee chair Rep. Isidro Ungab said they finalized the bicam report on Tuesday evening.
“Day and night we met. It was a long, two-week hard work and last night we finally finalized the bicam report,” he said.
“Since most of the members signed it already I consider it adopted.”
The bicam report will be presented to the Senate and House of Representatives for ratification before it is sent to President Rodrigo Duterte for signature.
Duterte can either sign the proposed budget bill into law or veto it. (With a report from GMA News/PN)
