ROXAS City – The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Revenue District Office (RDO) No. 72 was able to reach its tax collection goal for the January to June this year.
Based on BIR data, the RDO registered P719,578,991.58 in actual collection vis-a-vis its P717,190,000.00 revenue target during the first six months period.
The figure is also 13.46 higher than the actual collection of the same period in 2021.
“I would like to thank our beloved taxpayers from local government units, national government agencies, government-owned and –controlled corporations, individual, corporate and all stakeholders of the province of Capiz and Roxas City for paying the correct taxes on time,” said BIR RDO No. 72 head Eralen B. De Aro.
De Aro has also thanked the employees and staff of the RDO who serve the taxpaying public with honesty and integrity despite the difficulties and challenges due to COVID-19 threats.
The RDO has created the “Team Waswas Roxas” composed of its frontline revenuers and all the staff to contribute in the team effort on tax collection.
“The office has a goal of P720,374,000 for the remaining months of 2022,” she stressed as she appeals to the kind-hearted taxpayers to continue their compliance in paying the correct taxes on time and support the bureau’s plans and programs.
