BOMBO Radyo Philippines, a provincial brand with big dreams, is posed to further expand its power and reach this 2020. From its dominant presence in 24 key cities nationwide, it is set to conquer more areas.

Holding the traditional Bombo Radyo Top Level Management Conference in Iloilo City this week from Jan. 6 to 11, Dr. Rogelio M. Florete, the Chairman Emeritus of the 31-strong AM and FM radio stations, disclosed that in Bombo Radyo’s front burner is the setting up of more stations in several more cities in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

These will bring Bombo Radyo’s coverage to at least 30 key cities nationwide, he said.

As the media mogul clears the way for a leadership transition on to Ms. Margaret Ruth C. Florete who is the network’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Bombo Radyo dictates the pace among its competitors by keeping “In Step with Digital Technology”, this year’s conference theme to highlight its disruptive presence on Facebook Live.

All Area Managers, Station Managers, News Directors and Chief Technicians are assembling in just one roof to be given their marching orders to use strong Bombo Radyo content and conquer digital platforms to reach a worldwide audience.

Also, Ms. Florete invites all music-loving Ilonggos not to miss the 3rd National Bombo Music Festival with live performances from 12 finalists on Saturday, Jan. 11, at the newly renovated West Visayas State University Cultural Center in La Paz, Iloilo City.

The Bombo Music Festival is the Network’s wide-ranging contribution to music and forms a third of its tri-offering of Corporate Socio-Cultural Responsibility Projects.

A 31-piece Bombo Symphony Orchestra will provide beautiful live accompaniment to each of the interpreters of the finalists for an unforgettable evening.

A prestigious Board of Judges will select this year’s Bombo Music Festival Champion and other top winners who will bring home bigger prizes and whose musical compositions are played in all Bombo Radyo and Star FM stations and available for listening or download in all digital platforms – Spotify, i-Tunes, YouTube Music, and Google-Music.

This year’s heavyweight jury is composed of Ryan Cayabyab, National Artist for Music and a Ramon Magsaysay Awardee; Vehnee Saturno, certified gold record producer and renowned  composer; young hit makers and artists Bituin Escalante and Myrus Ramirez, as well as Jesuit composer Father Peter Pojol./PN
