ILOILO City – Police nabbed a man in Barangay Poblacion South, Oton, Iloilo after they caught him collecting bets for the illegal numbers game bookies.
Barangay Poblacion West resident Joenel Pomperada was brought to the Oton police station where he was detained.
He was arrested at around 9:50 a.m. on Saturday, a police report showed.
Recovered from his possession were gambling money amounting to P730, a cellular phone and gambling paraphernalia.
It was not immediately clear if charges were filed against Pomperada./PN
