ILOILO – A 10-year-old boy died following a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Barangay Licuan, Barotac Nuevo.
“Chris” suffered fatal head injuries from the incident on Saturday morning, Jan. 20.
Police Lieutenant Cedric Cruz, officer-in-charge of the Barotac Nuevo Municipal Police Station, confirmed that the boy succumbed at approximately 3 p.m. on the same day.
The boy’s father, who goes by the alias “Berto,” is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Iloilo City. They were riding the motorcycle at the time of the incident.
The car driver, identified only by the alias “Al,” is reportedly a teacher in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo. He has been taken into custody by the Barotac Nuevo police.
The family of the victims has yet to determine their course of legal action./PN
