ILOILO – An 11-year-old boy got accidentally electrocuted in Barangay Acao, Cabatuan town at around 3 p.m. on Aug. 29.
From what the police of Cabatuan so far gathered, the boy and two friends went outside their houses after a heavy rain.
The boy, before reaching the cyclone gate, stepped on a puddle of water, lost his balance and accidentally touched the cyclone fence where he got electrocuted.
Witnesses said a severed primary line / live wire of Iloilo Electric Cooperative 1 was touching the cyclone fence.
Police Captain Miles Dieron, the police chief of Cabatuan, said it was possible that the electricity to the wet cable because it rained.
The victim was rushed to the nearest hospital but was declared dead on arrival./PN
