ILOILO – Reelectionist Philippine Councilors League (PCL) – Iloilo chapter president Ramon Sullano overcame a challenge to keep his post during an election yesterday.
Sullano of Santa Barbara town garnered 262 votes, almost twice as many as the 132 votes got by his challenger, Atty. Precious Grace Panizales of San Enrique.
Panizales, a last-termer councilor, was undaunted that Sullano enjoyed the support of Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. and the five congressmen of Iloilo province.
“I don’t have a lineup but I’m running to keep democracy alive in PCL-Iloilo,” said Panizales.
Panizales served as secretary-general of PCL-Iloilo 2019-2022.
