BACOLOD City – A four-year-old boy was killed in what the police described as a botched attempt to murder his father in Barangay Mahalang, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.
The suspected gunmen – brothers’ 25-year-old Jigger and 30-year-old JR De la Torre – aimed at June Lee Salgado, 28, but the bullet hit the latter’s son John Lloyd, a police report showed.
John Lloyd sustained a gunshot wound on the head and died on the spot.
The Salgados were riding a carabao on their way home when attacked around 7 a.m. on Oct. 14.
According to police investigators, June Lee had a previous altercation with the De la Torres after a drinking session.
Officers of the Himamaylan police station launched a manhunt operation against the suspects, who
