BACOLOD City – The village chief of Barangay Cabcab in Isabela, Negros Occidental was gunned down on Wednesday night.
Danilo Dautil died instantly. He had multiple gunshot wounds.
There were two gunmen, witnesses told the police.
Dautil was driving his motorcycle home when ambushed, said Police Captain Joseph Partidas, the Isabela police chief.
After shooting Dautil, the gunmen fled toward a sugarcane plantation.
Partidas suspected that Dautil’s killing was perpetrated by insurgents./PN
