BACOLOD City – Two brothers were killed in a road crash in Barangay Caliling, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
The 38-year-old Romar Olpenda and his 27-year-old brother Remenie died of injuries on the body, a police report showed.
According to police investigators, Romar was driving a tricycle with Remenie as passenger when they crashed against a van driven by 33-year-old Michael John Bayot around 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Romar and Remenie were rushed to the Cauayan District Hospital where the attending physician declared them “dead on arrival.”
Bayot was detained in the lockup cell of the Cauayan municipal police station, facing charges./PN
