NEW YORK Knicks strengthened their home dominance with a 106-100 victory over the Orlando Magic in the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season on Sunday (Monday in the Philippines) at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Jalen Brunson led New York with 30 points and nine assists, while Josh Hart contributed 17 points and 12 rebounds as they improved to 16-7 overall and 13-1 at home.
OG Anunoby added 21 points and seven boards, and Mikal Bridges posted 12 points, seven rebounds, and six assists as the Knicks notched the win despite the absence of center Karl-Anthony Towns, who sat out with left calf tightness.
Orlando led by one at halftime, but New York opened the third quarter with a 13-0 run, with Brunson accounting for six points during the stretch. The Knicks outscored the Magic 28-18 in the period and later extended the lead to 89-73 after starting the fourth quarter with a 7-0 spurt.
Tensions rose in the final quarter when Desmond Bane drew a technical foul for throwing the ball at Anunoby’s back while the Knicks forward was out of bounds in an attempt to retain possession.
Jalen Suggs led the Magic with 17 points, Paolo Banchero and Bane finished with 16 points apiece, while Anthony Black added a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Orlando dropped to 14-10 and saw star forward Franz Wagner exit early with a lower left leg injury after landing awkwardly after a dunk attempt following a foul by Knicks center Ariel Hukporti.
Meanwhile, Boston Celtics (15-9) turned on the heat late in the fourth quarter to secure a 121-113 victory over Toronto Raptors (15-10) at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario.
From being down 99-102, Derrick White, Jaylen Brown, and Payton Pritchard took turns on the offensive end as the Celtics surged to a 117-105 lead with over a minute left.
Brown led the Celtics with 30 points, White chipped in 27 markers, including six three-pointers, while Pritchard, Anfernee Simons, and Neemias Queta contributed 15, 12, and 11, respectively./PN
