MAHINDRA Floodbuster spitfire guard Luis Alfonso Revilla said it has yet to sink in that he was selected as part of the 24-man Gilas Pilipinas national men’s basketball team.

The Bacolod City native said that he was surprised when his name was announced by Gilas head coach Vincent “Chot” Reyes to be part of the team that will be used in international competitions.

Hindi talaga ako makapaniwala. Hindi pa nagsi-sink in sa akin,” said Revilla. Madami pang bagay na dapat intindihin pero it’s a good place to be.”

Reyes admitted that he and his coaching staff took a hard look at Floodbuster guard Alex Mallari but decided to pick Revilla instead since the former is ineligible to play for the national team.

“We took a hard look at Alex but he is ineligible to play since he is not born here,” Reyes said. “And the other player who’s really playing well in (Mahindra) is LA and he fits my fast-paced system.”

The former De La Salle University Green Archers guard said that he is willing to compete for a guard spot in the national team even if it is close to impossible with veterans Jayson Castro, Terrence Romeo and Paul Lee around.

“Excited ako mag-compete. Let’s be honest, these guys have been there and they are proven,” Revilla said. “Definitely, this is something to look forward to pero tignan natin ang mangyayari.”

Alam ko ‘yung chance ko maliit, pero mas tinitignan ko ‘yung side na matututo ako sa kanila and pwede kong ikagaling,” added Revilla, who primarily played the reserve role for the Floodbuster in the 2016-2017 Oppo PBA Philippine Cup.

It seems a popular gay personality has yet to move on from his secret romance with a PBA superstar that the former still keeps on making statements related to the latter publicly.

The source said that one of the popular gay personality’s exes after the PBA superstar was an actor/basketball player who is the first boyfriend of a now happily married Kapuso actress.

The other one is also an actor/basketball player who previously played as practice player with a UAAP team. He has since given up his basketball career and became part of a reality show.

Si PBA superstar nga naka-move on na at may GF na,” said the source.

Hindi magandang bisyo ‘yung ganyang gawain,” the source added./PN
