Cadiz laborer shot to death

BACOLOD City – His fellow laborer shot him to death in Purok Sawmill, Barangay Jerusalem, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, police said.

The 50-year-old resident Allan “Tibor” Maximo sustained gunshot three wounds on the chest, according to Cadiz City police head Chief Inspector Rocky Desear.

Maximo was brought to the Cadiz City District Hospital where the attending physician pronounced him “dead on arrival.”

Police identified the suspect as the 52-year-old Robert “Motoy” Tingson, also a resident of the village.

According to investigation, a heated argument prompted Tingson to shoot Maximo.

The argument stemmed from Maximo cutting Tingson’s bamboo trees, the investigators said.

Tingson, who surrendered to the police after Wednesday’s incident, was detained at the Cadiz City police station lockup facility.

Appropriate charges will be filed against him, police sad./PN
