MANILA – Businesswoman Sandra Martinez Cam has been appointed board member of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
Her term expires in June next year, stated her appointment letter dated Dec. 5 and released to reporters yesterday.
“Pursuant to the provisions of existing laws, you are hereby appointed Member, Board of Directors, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, to serve the unexpired Term of Office that began on 01 July 2017 and will end on 30 June 2018 vice Betty B. Nantes,” it read.
Cam, a staunch supporter of the current administration, took her oath before President Rodrigo Duterte on Dec. 6.
Early this year, the former jueteng whistleblower was embroiled in a controversy when she allegedly lashed out at an employee of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
She denied namedropping Duterte’s executive assistant Bong Go to get VIP treatment.
In 2016, Cam ran for Senate under the ticket of Duterte but lost./PN
