BACOLOD City – A Grade 10 male student was ran over by a cane truck along the national highway in E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental.
Kevin Liscano, a resident of the said town, died instantly, according to Police Major Kenneth Jay Gratones, E.B. Magalona police chief.
The cane truck did not stop as Liscano and his classmates were crossing the highway on Thursday afternoon, Dec. 15, a traffic enforcer told the police.
While his classmates managed to dodge the truck, Liscano failed. His head got crushed.
Liscano and his classmates were heading home after a Christmas party.
The cane truck driver was 40-year-old Dante Sebugero. He was detained at the E.B. Magalona police station.
According to Gratones, the driver would be subjected to a drug test./PN
