ILOILO City – Iloilo provincial government employees will receive yearend bonuses and cash incentives starting first week of December.
They include the 13th-month pay (equivalent to one-month salary); P5,000 cash gift; P5,000 Productivity Enhancement Incentive; and P15,000 cash incentive under the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE).
“The distribution will have different schedules,” said Gov. Arthur Defensor Sr.
Capitol employees already received their 14th-month pay in June.
All regular, co-terminus and casual employees will get the bonuses and cash gifts, Defensor said.
Meanwhile volunteer workers — barangay health workers, day care workers and barangay nutrition scholars — will get a P4,000 cash gift each.
Capitol is giving out bonuses under PRAISE because it received multiple national awards and recognitions, Defensor said.
Among them were:
* Best Performing Province under the Excellence in Local Governance of the Department of the Interior and Local Government
* Best Public Employment and Service Office (national)
* Most Outstanding Provincial Assessment Office in Western Visayas by the Bureau of Local Government Finance for the Provincial Assessor’s Office
* Best Agency Newsletter in the Region by the Philippine Information Agency for the provincial newsletter “Balita Halin sa Kapitolyo.”
Defensor was also recognized as Most Outstanding Governor in Social Welfare and Development by the Gawad Parangal 2016 Award, while Provincial Tourism Officer Bombette Marin was named Outstanding Tourism Officer in the country./PN
