CAPIZ – A person deprived of liberty (PDL) at the Capiz Rehabilitation Center (CRC) was allegedly caught with suspected shabu on Wednesday night, August 7.
According to Provincial Jail Warden Arjuna Yngcong, alias “Jeanus” was reported by his fellow PDLs repacking the said illegal drugs inside cell no. 2.
Authorities recovered three plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing around one gram and valued at P600, and a matchbox.
Yngcong said Jeanus was transferred to an isolation cell as of this writing. He denied owning the illegal drugs, claiming it was planted by other PDLs.
Jeanus has been at the CRC for nearly nine years for charges of murder and illegal possession of firearms.
The jail warden said they are now investigating how the illegal drugs entered the jail facility./PN
