ILOILO – Officers of the Maasin Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested the No. 8 most wanted person in Western Visayas in Barangay Abilay, Maasin town around 9:14 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7.
The 23-year-old alias “Nonoy”, a resident of the aforementioned barangay, was caught through the strength of two arrest warrants for rape by carnal knowledge in relation to Republic Act 7610, or the Anti-child Abuse Law, and rape by sexual assault.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Maasin MPS and will be turned over to the concerned court for further legal proceedings.
The court recommended no bail bond for his temporary freedom./PN
