Capiz raid yields P1.36-million worth of ‘shabu’

CAPIZ — Operatives of Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) seized approximately 200 grams of suspected shabu valued at around P1,360,000 during a search warrant operation in Barangay Bahit, Panitan, Capiz.

The primary target of the raid was identified as alias “Kenn,” 43, married, unemployed, and classified as a high-value individual on the Regional Priority Target List. The suspect was not at the residence during the raid on Friday morning, August 14, and remained at large as of press time.

Police launched the operation at around 6:48 a.m. following over a year of intelligence monitoring, validation, and surveillance regarding the suspect’s alleged illegal drug activities across Capiz.

The Capiz Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit led the joint operation alongside the Capiz Provincial Intelligence Unit, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6–Capiz Provincial Office, Panitan Municipal Police Station, Regional Intelligence Unit–Provincial Intelligence Team Capiz, 62nd Special Action Company, 6th Special Action Battalion–PNP Special Action Force, and the 1st Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company.

Recovered during the raid were two knot-tied transparent plastic bags and six heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, along with various drug paraphernalia./PN
