Capiz’s No. 2 fugitive arrested

CAPIZ – This province’s fourth most wanted person was collared on the evening of March 31 in Barangay Caidquid, Mambusao town.

Operatives of the Mambusao Municipal Police Station (MPS) identified the suspect as alias “Nonoy,” 70, a farmer and resident of the said barangay. He was also listed at the No. 2 most wanted in Mambusao.

The suspect was served a warrant of arrest for qualified rape under Articles 266-A and 266-B of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act 11648, issued by the Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region, Branch 20 in Mambusao, Capiz.

Nonoy is currently detained at the Mambusao MPS pending turnover to the court concerned.

“The arrest of this most wanted person underscores our relentless effort to bring offenders to justice,” said Police Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, director of the Police Regional Office 6. “We will continue to intensify our operations to ensure that those who commit serious crimes are held accountable.”/PN
