UNITING FOR A GREENER FUTURE. Iloilo City hosted the launch of Handog ng Pangulo: Luntiang Bukas, a four-pronged, multi-agency program aimed at building resilient, inclusive, and environmentally sustainable communities. The launch featured key initiatives, including the distribution of rice subsidies to initial beneficiaries from Iloilo and the awarding of Certificates of Entitlement for the city-funded climate-resilient housing project. A walkthrough along the Iloilo Esplanade was led by Mayor Raisa Treñas, joined by Iloilo’s Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr., Department of Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Juan Miguel T. Cuna, and Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Undersecretary Eduardo Robles Jr. The activity underscored the continuing collaboration between national and local governments in advancing sustainable and climate-resilient communities.
