Iloilo City makes history as the first-ever recipient of the Katipunan Award, the highest distinction in the Mobility Awards, after securing its third Gold Award as a Bike-Friendly City. The city also earned a Silver Award for being Pedestrian-Friendly during the 2025 Mobility Awards. Architect Wilfredo Sy, Jr., EnP, Iloilo Bike Festival director and member of the Iloilo City Bicycle Council, accepted the awards on behalf of Mayor Raisa Treñas and the Iloilo City Government. Iloilo City also received its third Gold Award and was recognized as the Most Outstanding Active Transport Non-Infrastructure Initiative during the 2025 National Bike Day Awards and Recognition. The awards were received by Franco Agudo from the Office of the City Planning Development Coordinator.
